On August 10th, we joyfully welcomed our new Small Groups Director, Julia! Why add this role? Because small groups change lives. A small group is 6–12 people who gather regularly to grow in faith, build authentic friendships, and discover more deeply the love of Jesus. Small groups make our big church feel small, make prayer become personal, and help faith take root in everyday life. Our parish already has about eight small groups serving around 30 people — but we dream of so much more. In thriving parishes, small groups aren’t just an optional extra — they’re the heartbeat of the community. They exist to support people’s faith journeys on a different, more intimate scale so it can be better shared at large within the community. We believe God is calling our parish to become a parish of small groups — a place where nearly every active parishioner is part of one, and new members are continually invited into this life-changing experience! That’s where Julia comes in. With her background in theology, her passion for evangelization, and her experience leading small groups herself, she brings the perfect blend of vision and know-how to help us grow. She’s here to equip and support leaders, connect people to the right group, and make sure small groups stay vibrant and life-giving. We’re so grateful the Lord has brought her to our parish family — and we can’t wait to see how God will work through her and through all of you as we grow together in discipleship.
