This form of prayer has a long tradition in the church. Do you know about the regular opportunities we offer here at SSP to pray in this special way?
Each Friday at 6 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Deacon Dana leads a group in Eucharistic procession with the Blessed Sacrament through the neighborhood while praying the rosary. Those who are not comfortable processing are welcome to pray the rosary in church (which is also the bad-weather alternative to the procession). On the first Friday of each month, the procession is replaced by Benediction and Adoration in the church.
St. John the Baptist Church has an adoration chapel available for prayer at any time. Call Bridget at the parish office for the key code to enter.
Each Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is open for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; confessors are also available.
Are you between the ages of 21 and 39? Join the South City Young Adults for adoration in St. Stephen Protomartyr Church on the third Sunday of the months of July, September, November, January, March, and May
