We reflect on our first century and look forward to the next!
CENTENNIAL MASS
The very first Mass at St. Stephen Protomartyr was celebrated in a temporary frame church on June 2, 1926.
Join us as we kick off our yearlong 100th birthday party on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with Mass at 4 p.m. Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski will be the main celebrant. Concelebrating with him will be pastor Fr. Aaron Nord, senior associate Fr. Tim Foley, former senior associate Msgr. Vince Bommarito, former pastor Fr. Ron Hopmeir, former pastor Fr. Chuck Barthel, former pastor Fr. Jerry Meier, former associate Fr. John Brennell, alumnus Fr. Rick Stoltz ('62), and alumnus Fr. Mike Esswein ('85).
Mass will be followed by a BBQ dinner provided by SSP's Holy Name Society and live music from Joe Bohac. All are welcome!
