Heavenly Father, through the intercession of your faithful servant and our patron St. Stephen, this parish has been a spiritual home for generations and for a growing geography.
We thank You for the sacraments that strengthen us; for the leadership of our priests, deacons, religious, and lay ministers, who steadfastly impact our daily lives; and for each precious soul who has passed through the doors of this church and school since their founding.
Led by Your grace, may our parish continue to strive to be a beacon of faith, hope, and love to those within and beyond our boundaries as we carry out Your mission to love God, to love one another, and to make disciples.
Through Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.

"Stephen" turns 100 and musically reminisces with his family about times they have shared over the past century. Enjoy the journey from the 1920s through the present as performed by members of the St. Stephen community. -
Come Serve With Us
Collaborate with our Immigrant & Refugee Ministry at the meal after the annual Migration Mass at St. Pius V Church (Grand at Utah St.) on Saturday, Oct. 18. This volunteer opportunity is a great way to live out our parish mission and to serve the wider community. Support this ministry by helping in the dining room, washing dishes, making a dessert, or assisting with cleanup. -

School Centennial FundHonor the anniversary of our school with a one-time or recurring donation in support of the future of Catholic education in South St. Louis. Donations to this fund are earmarked for the general operating expenses of St. Stephen School. Donors to this fund will be recognized on a plaque to hang in school for the next 100 years. -
Centennial MassThe very first Mass at St. Stephen Protomartyr was celebrated in a temporary frame church on June 2, 1926. We opened our yearlong centennial celebration with a 100th anniversary Mass at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski presided, and eleven priests concelebrated. It was a beautiful day. -
