We’ll also have our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program resume full speed operations on the weekend of August 23-24, with Children’s Liturgy of the Word offered at all our 10am and 4:30pm Masses. Many thanks to the wonderful volunteers who lead our children to Jesus by their service! Elsie Allen was a beloved member of our parish who served at Saint John the Baptist Church for many years. I’m grateful to her family, who gave a gift in her memory for some campus improvements at the Saint John the Baptist campus. We also have secured a contractor for repairs to the cross which the storm knocked from the SSP church steeple. Our hard-working maintenance team did a lot to get SSP school ready for the new year, and the teachers have made some fantastic updates to their classrooms! Thanks also to our PTO and Holy Name Society for our back pack blessing celebration after the 4:30pm Mass last week.
