Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Let me update you on some parish projects. The IHM church air conditioner replacement should be done soon. Please pray for Theresa Shurig, whose generous bequest helped pay for it. Our school Facilities Committee reviewed the bid for the school expansion plan. It was over budget, so we’ve found ways to lower the cost while still giving the school a major upgrade. I hope to present the details to the parish before the end of September. Finally, the boiler failed in the SJB former grade school on Newport. After reviewing costs and benefits, our Finance Council recommended that we look for someone interested in buying the building and using it for good.
