As Lent draws near, I thought it would be good for all of us to reflect on what Archbishop Rozanski and the other bishops of the United States have said about the dignity of immigrants. I’ll be reading a statement from them at all the Masses, and I invite you to take the statement to prayer. Copies are available at the doors of each of our churches, and you can find it online by googling “usccb message on immigration”. I also plan to participate in an interfaith gathering on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 10 am to noon.Clergy and faithful from a wide range of congregations will gather at both ends of the MLK Bridge and meet in the middle for prayer, song, and testimony. I’d love to have you join me, and if you would like to coordinate transportation, please email me at [email protected]. We are looking for new members of our pastoral council: people who love our parish and our mission,Catholics, 18 years or older, who supporting the teaching and discipline of the Church, regularly attending weekend Mass at Saint Stephen Protomartyr, including the parish among the good works they support by their practice of tithing, and, who participate in our small groups or service opportunities. To nominate yourself or someone else, just email me their name. God bless you!
