A big thank you to everyone who took Christmas invitations and gift cards last week to share with our neighbors in need. Let’s all look for opportunities to tell others stories about Jesus and invite people to share the joy of Christmas Mass in one of our churches.
Karen Garcia, Maggie Moody, and Jim Boeger have developed a new plan where, starting on January 4th, our bulletin and worship aid will be separate documents. The idea is to help people meet Jesus when they pray with us when they arrive for the first time or for the first time in a long time, while also having more space in the bulletin. We’ll continue to prioritize bulletin space based on our vision: “Become a thriving parish of growing disciples of Jesus Christ in South Saint Louis.” That means: 1) information connected to helping people pray with us at weekend Masses; 2) information directly connected to our discipleship path; 3) information connected to core parish operations and of interest to the whole parish; 4) other information from our parish ministries, organizations, and events; and 5) information about opportunities in the wider community.
Eric Dao, our diligent and hardworking Editorial Assistant, has decided to give up this duty after December. I admire Eric’s dedication to our mission, and I’m grateful for his good service during the past year. May God reward him! As Eric departs, Maggie Moody will take over receiving submissions at [email protected]
until we have a new Editorial Assistant. God bless you!
