Our parish pastoral council reviews how well we are living our mission and vision and helps us consider
whether our strategy is working. Our pastoral council members (Stephanie Wobbe, Anthony Omosule, Mike Broekelmann, Tom Esswein, Elizabeth Flake, and Mary Raber) are also excellent channels through which you can bring your ideas, questions, and concerns to parish leadership. The parish pastoral council meets 10 times a year, and two of those meetings—one in the fall and one in the spring—are open to all parishioners. Our first parish pastoral council open meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the SSP parish hall. If you’d like to put a topic on the agenda, please let us know by midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Provide your name and the topic you would like to discuss, and we’ll put you on the agenda, time permitting. We are also asking for everyone’s input on two topics that we will be discussing at the pastoral council. First, what could we do in 2026 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Saint Stephen Protomartyr Parish? Second, should we temporarily add an 8:30 a.m. Mass at SSP to our regular schedule of Sunday Masses in order to gather information about whether it would make sense to make this our Sunday Mass time at SSP, rather than 4:30 p.m.? I hope you’ll come, pray with us, listen to others, and join the discussion. God bless you!
