Our “Read That Bible!” recommendations for this week are the Book of Tobit and the song “If Ye Love Me,” by Tallis. I’m writing without knowing if our picnic had rain, shine, or both. But I do know that I’m grateful to everyone who helped us continue this great South City tradition. A special thanks to Christy and Jim Arnold, our picnic chairs. June has celebrations coming! St. John the Baptist’s feast day is June 24. To honor him and our Lord in the Eucharist, our 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, June 21, will move to St. John the Baptist Church, with a procession, pizza, and ice cream afterward. The feast day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is Saturday, June 28, and we’ll celebrate it with fun, food, and prayers at one of our sister churches, Immaculate Heart of Mary – New Melle. Join us! Details are on the cover of today’s bulletin. God bless you!
