Dear parents, teachers, and friends of SSP School.
It is Friday, and on Fridays, I feel compelled to publish the Notes, even if they are cover " notes" like this.
I promised my friend Mr. Hartzler I would send this flyer today:
I keep my word, William. What a final Mass we had today. The Borgmeyers saved a little magic for the end-of-the-year celebration.Congratulations to Mrs. Christy Biundo, the 2025 SSP Excellence In Education Award winner. She is a very deserving educator and an even better human being! Christy joins a small fraternity of former EIE winners: Nancy Anglo, Amanda Quinn, Gerry Glenn, Daniel Schmitz, and Carol Anne Lorenz. I just heard some great news: The SSP CYC Track team just qualified for the "State" competition. Even better news: Last year's team had five members; this talented squad numbers in the 20s this year. I will share more details about their next competition as soon as I receive them. Maybe we can grab some pom poms and cheer on our team!!? Thank you for the recent prompt from Gina Joly... on her suggestion, Fr. Aaron revived an age-old SSP tradition of assuming new pews in a moving-up ceremony. It was fun to behold. Friends, I will be unplugging now until Tuesday morning. June and I will be back in the Office early next week. Until then, have a blessed holiday weekend. Stay SSP Strong and God's Peace, D. Greg Sturgill
